George Brown

George Brown has been named the new head coach of the men's soccer program at Campbellsville University Harrodsburg.

Brown boasts an accomplished career as a coach throughout the state of Kentucky with Mercer County, East Jessamine and most recently Lincoln County.

Brown also served as the academy director of Central Kentucky Storm. He currently serves as the executive director of the Kentucky United Soccer Club.

Coach Brown brings his core values of faith, family, and a relentless work ethic to the men's soccer program.

"My faith is genuine and I have a lot of love for Harrodsburg," Brown said. "This community has a big piece of my heart."

Brown cites Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength," as his mission statement for the program.

CU Harrodsburg Director of Athletics Dalton Christopher is confident Brown will lead the program into its next chapters with a focus on the development of each athlete in the program.

"Coach Brown is a skilled and accomplished coach well known across the state and the region," Christopher said. "More importantly, he is a relationship driven coach that uses his walk with Christ as the blueprint for all that he does. I have faith Coach Brown will be a tremendous leader for our Pioneers program."

The Pioneers launched their program in the 2020-21 season, however the effects of COVID-19 led to a shortened regular season. The Pioneers plan for a full season in 2021 with their eyes set at excellence on and off the playing field.

"The program will produce men of faith and family while competing at the highest level of winning regional and national championships," Brown said.

Davis was a goalkeeper at Georgetown College before coaching with Coach Brown at East Jessamine.

Coach Davis had this to say about joining the staff "I know that Coach Brown is genuine, competitive, and will expect the most out of all of those he is around." Also adding in, "Knowing how passionate he is about developing individuals with purpose and character, is one of the primary reasons I jumped at the opportunity to join this staff."

Coach Brown is excited to have Coach Davis saying, "He understands the expectations of being a role model and really cares about the players on and off the field." Also Adding in "He also understands we are building a program on Family, Faith and Culture and we have goals to compete at the highest level for Regional and National Championships."

Coach Davis not only has great soccer knowledge but also is a high character and understand the expectations that the Men's Soccer program will have.

Coach Davis is excited for this upcoming season saying, "Building meaningful relationships with young men and others through a sport that has been a part of my life for over 20 years." Adding in, "I followed the incredible run this team demonstrated in last year's post-season and I know that this team has only scratched the surface for the success to come."

One of the biggest things in coaching is building relationships with athletes. The Pioneers have gained a great charactered coach who will help the athletes grow both in their athletic ability and in their walk with Christ.

I found it easy to use. It included all of the information that a college coach/recruiter would look for. I highly recommend it to all college bound athletes!
